Eti Pazarlama ve Sanayi A.Ş. (Eti Marketing and Industry Co. Inc.) has been established on May 1st, 1981, with its headquarters at Eskişehir, in a period when the consumer-centered marketing approach started to arouse interest in Turkey.

Eti was founded in 1961 as Eti Bisküvi Fabrikası (Eti Biscuit Factory), a personal corporation in the name of Firuz Kanatlı. In the year 1972, this company was turned into a family corporation under the trade name of Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Eti Food Industry and Trade Co. Inc.)

Tam Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Tam Food Co. Inc.) has been founded and established in 1980 in Eskişehir Industrial Estate, with the Partnership of Oyak and İslâm Kalkınma Bankası under the leadership and management control of Eti Gıda A.Ş.

Eti Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Eti Machinery Industry and Trade Co. Inc.) has been established in the year 1978 in Eskişehir Industrial Estate, with the partnership of Eti Gıda A.Ş. (Eti Food Co. Inc.) and Kanatlı Family, in order to meet the machinery and other facility requirements of Eti Gıda A.Ş. and Tam Gıda A.Ş. (Tam Food Co. Inc.)
