1961

Our founder Mr. Firuz Kanatlı founded his first biscuit production plant under the brand name "ETİ" and was at the
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

1962

On 20th of January 1962, biscuit production started at pan-production facilities of Eti Biscuit Plant with a capacity of 20
employees and 3 tons per day.

The products "Petit Beurre", "Marie", "Kremalı", "Sable" (corn flour biscuit) and "Bademli"/with almonds (Eti's most
popular specialty) were launched in 4- 5 kg boxes.

1963 For capacity increase, a second plant was built using Turkish engineering.
1965 Switch to automation in the plant was completed with full cooperation of Turkish engineers and the first automatic tunnel
baking oven was commissioned.
1967

The first automated biscuit production plant in Turkey was established by Eti. The facility was built based on Turkish
engineers' drawings and commenced production on 25th of November 1967.


Production of "ETİ Finger" began and the product was launched to the markets.

1969 Production of the very first digestive/fibrous biscuit, "ETİ Burçak" began and very soon it was launched to the markets.
1970

The second automated production facility in Turkey was commissioned and three shifts daily production cycle
implemented.

1972

On 13 March 1972, the title of Eti Biscuit Company, owned by Mr. Firuz Kanatlı, was changed as "Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret
A.Ş." by participation of all stockholding family members.

The famous Eti jingle: "Bir Bilmecem var çocuklar…/I have a riddle kids…" was aired in Eti commercials.

1974 Our first export shipment was made to Cyprus.

We received the first Quality Award from the Turkish Standards Institution.
1975 The first imported baking oven was purchased. Other machinery for the automated facility was manufactured in Turkey and
was commissioned. "Uniqueness" in competition was materialized through marketing manually packaged products.
1976

Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. "Etimek" plant was erected in Bozüyük (Bilecik).

1978

Production of "Etimek", the first and the unique rusk bread in Turkey, was started in Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş Bozüyük
plant on 20th of February 1978 and the product was launched to the markets.

Eti Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was established in the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Area in order to combine Eti's all
machinery design, manufacturing, assembly and comprehensive service activities that have been in progress since 1967.

1979 Production of "Eti Puf" filled with marshmallow and granule coated was started and launched to the markets.
